OUR CURRICULUM IS FUN, MONTESSORI-BASED & CHALLENGING!

Every day is an adventure! From our engaging and bright environment to our exciting hands-on activities, your child will develop a love for life-long learning!

We Focus On The "Whole Child!"

At Casa Makv Montessori Preschool, we follow a “whole child” philosophy where we partner with you to improve your child’s social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical skills. Your child will learn to socialize, make friends, develop social and emotional skills, and be more than ready for kindergarten! In fact, kindergarten teachers LOVE our students so much because they're such great learners!.

Incorporating Montessori Curriculum!

Our Montessori curriculum is based on themes of lesson ideas and skill based activities.  All activities based on a child-centered approach to learning. It is also designed to support the education and developmental needs of young children who may require additional support to reinforce their mastery of specific skills.

The curriculum is also designed to challenge young.  it is important to recognize that every child is an individual, and learning may not be linear, so some children may have an innate ability in one or more areas of the curriculum but need more experience or confidence to achieve success in another curriculum area.

At Casa Makv Montessori preschool every learner has the opportunity to investigate and to explore things in an environment that is safe and they are also given the opportunity to concentrate on solving problems if they encounter problems such as building a tower with blocks.  Also, there are opportunities for creating and thinking critically for children to connect concepts with development.

The Creative Curiculum!

Our curriculum is aligned with the NAEYC guidelines and features a balance of teacher-directed and child-initiated hands-on activities to accomplish these goals.

Casa Makv Montessori in-home-preschool has partnered with MSDE and THE ALLIANCE (Family Childcare Alliance of Maryland) and is now implementing The Creative Curriculum for 3’s and 4’s children to benefit from developmentally appropriate practices to receive high-quality pre-k instruction.

The Creative Curriculum® for Preschool clearly identifies nine areas of development and learning: Social-Emotional, Physical, Language, Cognitive, Literacy, Mathematics, Science and Technology, Social Studies, and the Arts. Volumes 1–6 provide an overview of young children's development as well as specific teaching practices to support children's development and learning in each of these domains

We Love Questions!

We aim to help children become independent, self-confident, inquisitive and enthusiastic learners by actively exploring their environment. In fact, one of the best ways we can teach is to ask THEM questions. "What are you creating?" "How does it work?" "Tell me about what you drew." etc.

 We Partner With You!

We assess our students three times each year to discover what areas they're strong in, and what areas still need more work. We keep you in the loop on what we're working on, and we also let you know exactly how your child is doing during our two parent -teacher conferences each year.
